Mark your calendars! On Saturday, April 11 from 9:30 AM to
3:00 PM, we will have our Semi-Annual Leadership Day Conference.
Leadership Day is offered every semester to our MPH
students. This day-long interactive
event focuses on professional development.
Each Leadership Conference covers different topics, and we
highly encourage you to participate in as many as you can. In general, the days
are designed to expose students to topics such as job seeking
strategies, resume/CV writing and presentation, professional
communication, public speaking and scientific writing. In addition, these are an
opportunity to meet public health professionals and to learn about their practices, and how they address important issues in
the field.
For this semester's Leadership Day, we will have workshops
in networking and communication skills and a presentation by Jennifer McGowan,
a policy analyst who served in the Illinois Governor's Office for the
implementation of the Affordable Care Act in the state.
Come join us! Lunch will be served.
Please RSVP to iberzin@lumc.edu no later than Monday, April 6th.
