IPHA announces availability of 8 graduate program scholarships

The Illinois Public Health Association announces the availability of eight (8) scholarships for the 2013-14 academic year for qualified graduate students in Public Health.
  • IPHA Scholarship for Graduate Study in Public Health - Six scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each 
  • Edith Heide Memorial Scholarship - Two scholarships each in the amount of $2,000

Goal: The program goal is to contribute to increasing the number of Public Health professionals inIllinoisby supporting the efforts ofIllinoisresidents seeking advance degrees in Public Health.

Eligibility: Must be a citizen of the United States, a resident of Illinois and enrolled in a public-health related graduate degree program at a recognized and accredited university.

Award: The top two applicants with the highest scores will receive the Edith Heide scholarships and the third – eighth place winners will all receive the IPHA Scholarship for Graduate Study in Public Health. The eight scholarship recipients will be invited to attend the awards ceremony at the IPHA Annual Meeting, June 18-20, 2013, to receive their scholarship certificate.

If the scholarship recipient is not a current IPHA member, they will be given a one-year student membership.
