New position available in the WELCOME BABY program in Los Angeles County, California
   
Position Summary: The primary functions of the Welcome Baby Hospital Liaison include engaging families after delivery, informing families about Welcome Baby, enrolling new families into the program. This role works in the hospital and collaborates closely with the Welcome Baby RN and OB staff.
Education Requirements: 
·         Bachelors degree child development, social work, psychology, human development, or a related field; OR
·         Bachelors degree and direct experience working with underserved communities
Experience: 
·         Experience working with families from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
·         Familiarity with the effects of parental alcohol and/or other drug abuse on family health, parenting, and general functioning.
·         Familiarity with the effects of domestic violence and parental alcohol and/or other drug abuse on family health, parenting, and general functioning.
·         Familiarity with the effects of perinatal depression on child development, parenting, and general functioning.
 
The position is part time, 20 hours a week and includes benefits
Pay $19.70-21.70 an hour
