The American Society of Anesthesiologists is currently seeking a Continuing Medical Education (CME) Specialist for our Park Ridge, IL location. Due to growth, we are relocating to Park Ridge, IL in May 2014.

- Major Activity: Implement ACCME accreditation policies and procedures; manage the accreditation documentation system and calendar of events; interface with ASA departments to provide guidance on maintaining accreditation compliance and meeting reporting deadlines.
- Major Activity: Interface with staff and members concerning CME inquiries.
- Major Activity: Support the Joint Sponsorship program and ensure compliance with ACCME and ASA requirements.
- Major Activity: Assist with communication from editors and question writers for Education Editorial Boards.
- Major Activity: Interface with staff in the Meetings/Exhibits Department to plan education and editorial meetings.
- Major Activity: Compile and send education offerings usage reports and evaluations to Committee Chairs and other interested parties.
- Major Activity: Organize and oversee Department of Education filing system: create, purge, and update files as needed.
- Minor Activity: Other duties may be assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required preferably in liberal arts, education or business management.
- Minimum of 3 years association experience required preferably in a medical association.
- Experience with ACCME requirements strongly preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, database technologies required.
