Health Education Student Internship in Glendale California

Job Summary:
The Health Education Student Intern will be working along Masters Level Health Promotion Consultants in the Health Education Department in support of Health Net's obesity prevention and adolescent health efforts. This internship is designed to immerse students in a managed care field to address real business problems.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Accesses providers' needs for additional obesity prevention and adolescent health tools 
  • Develops new tools/interventions to address identified needs Implements and evaluates the new tools/interventions 
  • Conducts presentations to providers and the community 
  • Compiles and analyzes member utilization of programs, services and resources for effectiveness 
  • Assists in coordinating program logistics Assists with the day‑to‑day requirements of the business 

Requirements:
  • Education: Enrolled in (or recently graduated from) an accredited Master's in Public Health program; preferably a student in the same course of study as the functional assignment 
  • Experience: Currently in Master's of Public Health Program or recent MPH graduate
